Yes. Solid EPDM rubber sheet is fully waterproof and is used as a roofing membrane material. It does not absorb water and will not degrade with prolonged water exposure. This is why it is the standard material for flat roof pond liners and underground waterproofing applications.

Can EPDM be used for food contact applications?

Standard commercial-grade EPDM is not certified for food contact. For food-grade sealing applications, specify food-grade EPDM (conforming to EC 1935/2004) or food-grade silicone rubber sheet instead.
