Our Clients
Professional non-staining rubber adhesive for bonding rubber flooring, matting, and sheeting to subfloors — designed specifically for the demands of rubber flooring installation in the UK. This paste adhesive provides a strong, durable bond between rubber and concrete, screed, timber, or existing flooring substrates, while remaining non-staining on the rubber surface — critical for light-coloured rubber products where standard contact adhesives can cause permanent discolouration.
Why Use a Specialist Rubber Adhesive?
Standard carpet adhesives, contact adhesives, and general-purpose floor bonding products often fail when used with rubber flooring. The reasons: rubber is less porous than carpet, requires specific chemical compatibility to achieve a durable bond, and many adhesives contain solvents that cause rubber swelling, staining, or surface degradation over time. This specialist rubber flooring adhesive is formulated to bond reliably without causing any of these problems.
Key Features
- Non-staining formula — will not discolour rubber surfaces, including light grey, beige, and coloured rubber tiles and rolls
- Easy-to-apply paste — trowel or brush application; no specialist tools required
- Water-based formulation — low VOC, suitable for indoor use in occupied premises
- Strong initial tack — allows immediate walking traffic after laying
- Long-term bond strength — maintains adhesion under foot traffic and cleaning regimes
- Indoor use — suitable for heated buildings including underfloor heating subfloors (check suitability for UFH surface temperature with product data sheet)
Suitable Substrates
- Concrete and sand/cement screed
- Plywood and tongue-and-groove timber boarding
- Existing ceramic and porcelain tile (smooth, clean surface)
- Asphalt
Suitable Rubber Products
- Rubber flooring rolls (ribbed, smooth, studded)
- Rubber floor tiles (solid and foam-backed)
- Rubber entrance and barrier matting
- Rubber stair tread covers and nosings
Application Guide
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove all dust, grease, and loose material. Apply adhesive to the substrate using a notched trowel or brush. Allow to tack (typically 15–30 minutes depending on temperature and porosity) then lay the rubber flooring, pressing firmly from the centre outward. Roll with a floor roller to ensure full contact. Allow 24 hours before heavy use. Full bond strength achieved at 72 hours.
Always refer to the product data sheet for specific application rates, coverage, and open time guidance. Free UK delivery on qualifying orders.
