Standard anti-fatigue mats trap water and create slip hazards in wet environments. Standard wet area mats provide drainage but no fatigue reduction. This mat combines both properties — the open construction drains liquids while the rubber compound still delivers the cushioning and micro-movement effect that reduces fatigue in workers standing for extended shifts.

HSE recommends anti-fatigue matting as a control measure under MHOR 1992 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 for workers standing more than 4 hours per day.
