Step 1: Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any protruding fixings or high spots.
Step 2: Unroll Decimat® across the floor surface with the smooth side facing upwards. Butt-join sheets tightly – do not overlap.
Step 3: Tape all seams with acoustic joining tape to maintain acoustic performance at joints.
Step 4: Trim neatly to fit the room using a sharp utility knife. Do not turn up the edges.
Step 5: Proceed to lay your chosen flooring finish directly on top. No overboarding is required in most applications.
